Published December 3, 2009 | My daughter is graduating from Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC the end of August. I have a very limited income and need to find cheap travel! Does anyone have any suggestions? I am coming from Ohio so It’s about 1400 miles round trip.

kayak.com has the cheapest flights…. make sure you book as soon as possible, and always book in the middle of the week… prices always jump up on the weekends.
IN ADDITION: DO NOT take a grey hound bus, it will take you FOREVER to get there. Priceline or cheaptickets is not the way to go.

Well, you did not say where you were traveling from? Which country are you traveling from? I assume perhaps you are traveling perhaps from the USA?
If that is the case, then taking public transportation through Mexico down to the Belize/Mexico border is the cheapest, but perhaps too adventurous for most people.
Another cheap way and faster is to fly into Cancun, Mexico and take a public express bus to the border, and cross over into Belize. That should be fairly cheap from most parts north of Mexico, including USA and Canada.
