Published February 17, 2010 | Basically, how do you travel cheap (relatively speaking) without compromising on the ‘luxuries’? Interested in knowing your thoughts.
1. Encashing frequent flyer miles is one of my favorite methods to get discount air tickets on subsequent purchases.
2. Online travel services like Orbitz, Travelocity and BookingBuddy allow customers to choose selected flights whenever deeper discounts become available. Other services such as Priceline may allow customers to bid for lower price airline tickets, but they can also require immediate purchase of those tickets or a much more flexible schedule.

We just came back from San Padro on Ambergris Caye and we had a great time. Being on a caye you are close to the ocean and can do all kinds of activities (swimming, diving, snokel, etc.). There are also tours that you can go on that will take you inland and take you on trips to see the ruins, zoo, etc. We happen to stay at Banana Beach but there are many other good places to stay as well.
