I have a plan to travel around Asia to several countries..China, Japan, Malaysia, etc..
Whats the best way to travel, cheapest way to get cheap tickets?
I did an awesome amount of research a few years back. The absolute cheapest tickets anywhere can be found on an on-line auction site. I used them and got great service and rates. Be careful as sometimes the instructions can be a bit confusing when you first start out. The mistake I made when I first joined was in bidding against myself once. LOL No kidding. But I learned and got great prices.
For other traveling, I highly recommend you but up to date travel books for each country you plan to go to through one company, named Lonely Planet. They accept no advertising revenue which translates into no recommendations based on advertising revenue. I used them when I traveled to Hong Kong, the Philippine Islands, Bolivia, Russia and Spain. Highly recommend them. You can find them in book stores or on-line. Suggest you make certain you search for the latest editions for each country you plan to visit. Pay head to their warnings on the dangers and annoyances for each area you plan to travel to. They have great recommendations on hotels, places to see and restaurants to eat at.
Have fun and enjoy. Merry Christmas

Do your research. The more you know the less you’ll need to spend. Once you reach any of those countries, you can take a boat which will be cheaper.
From Hongkong to China, a boat will only take a few hours. Some like Singapore Airlines have great return trip rates so check with your agent.
And yes, be careful of taxis. Always have local currency in change and keep the rest of your money in an ATM card. Don’t be too flashy as the more bling-bling you show the more they tend to charge.
Finally try to blend in as much as possible. The less attention the better. And have a safe trip. ^_^

I’ve been to Malaysia. Fly Malaysian Airlines to get there, they are very good and have a pretty good safety record, the last thing you want is to die on route, hey! When you get there, use the buses but try not to get ripped off by some thieving little cunt like I did.
