Greece is in big trouble and some other countries like Spain and Portugal are suffering as well. The good news for American travelers is that these problems have cause the value of the European currency, the euro, to drop with respect to the US dollar. In other words, a hotel room in Paris that might have cost $250 per night last year will cost less than $200 per night now. Have you ever thought about taking that trip to France? If so, you can find some really terrific hotel room deals for cities all over France. With the European economy hurting even worse than the US economy, you should be able to find some great deals in just about any European country you decide to visit.
